About this holiday
The Battle of la Tablada de Tolomosa occurred on April 15, 1817, near Tarija, southern Bolivia. It was a conflict between royalist forces (led by Colonel Mateo Ramírez) and republican local forces, who were allied with the Army of the North (under Gregorio Aráoz de Lamadrid).
