September 4th celebrates the feast day of Saint Alexander of Rome, commemorating the life and martyrdom of Grata of Bergamo. Grata, a saint and martyr from Bergamo, notably assisted in the burial of St. Alexander of Rome and was subsequently martyred for this action. She was also known for establishing churches and a hospital for the poor in Bergamo.
