  • Taksirat Festival: A major winter festival held in Skopje near the end of November or beginning of December.
  • Baba Marta: Traditional UNESCO-recognized celebrations around March 1st, involving the gift of 'martinka' adornments.
  • D Festival: An annual multi-day outdoor music festival held in Dojran.
  • When referring to the country, it is advised to use 'Macedonia.' Be mindful of sensitive topics regarding Macedonian-Bulgarian, Macedonian-Albanian, or Macedonian-Greek relations. To avoid conflict with locals, refrain from discussing the 2001 conflict, the Balkan Wars partition, or pending EU membership, although political discussion is generally common.

Sobre este día festivo

The Macedonian Struggle (1893–1912) was a period of conflict over Ottoman Macedonia involving Greek and Bulgarian residents. It was part of a larger guerrilla war (1904–1908) where Greek, Bulgarian, and Serbian revolutionary groups fought over control and the national identity of the Slavic population. The conflict continued through the Balkan Wars.
