• When visiting, begin interactions in restaurants by greeting staff with 'buongiorno' or 'buonasera' and wait to be seated at formal establishments. During meals, which are typically long and leisurely, avoid rushing. It is considered rude to criticize the food of others or those served in a restaurant, or to suggest improvements to someone's cooking.
