Jersey is a self-governing British Crown Dependency located in the Bay of St Malo, approximately 14 miles west of the French Cherbourg peninsula.

• Jersey Boat Show: Features sailing and power boat displays (May, St Helier).
• Jersey Battle of Flowers: Street carnival (second Thursday/Friday of August, St Helier).
• Weekender: Rock festival at Royal Jersey Showground (late August/early September).
• Jersey Regatta: Event at St Helier marina (early September).
• Jersey Air Display: View along the Esplanade (September); note that this event closes the A2 road and disrupts airport flights.
• While some residents may identify with British culture, locals prefer being addressed as 'Jerseymen' or 'Jerseywomen.' The island's culture often shows stronger connections to European culture (such as French service culture) than to Great Britain.
