  • Petrovačka noć (Petrovac): A local celebration offering local food, music, and community experience.
  • Dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites (churches and monasteries), and avoid short pants in public institutions. When toasting, maintain eye contact with the person you toast to, as lack of eye contact may be viewed as disrespectful. Note that rakija (plum spirit) is potent (approx. 53% alcohol) and leads to rapid intoxication.
