📣 Conseils aux voyageurs
Uganda, known as the 'Pearl of Africa,' is recognized for its diverse fauna, including highly endangered mountain gorillas and common chimpanzees.
- Respect local religious customs and avoid criticizing religion.
- Wear light trousers/skirts outside designated tourist areas.
- Be aware of local safety and do not display expensive valuables.
- Understand that religion is a vital part of the social structure.
- As Uganda is a conservative Christian and Muslim society, modest dress is advised, particularly outside tourist areas. Handshakes are common greetings; men holding hands generally signifies friendship.
