• Learning basic Sesotho phrases (e.g., Dumela for hello, Kea leboha for thank you) is appreciated. Respect for elders or those in higher social standing is important; address them as 'Ntate' (male) or 'Me' (female). When exchanging items, use both hands and maintain a calm demeanor. It is customary to respond when greeted by locals.
