• Cultural respect is essential; avoid pointing with an index finger, whistling inside a ger, or discarding fire.
• Visitors must ask permission before entering a ger and should embrace local customs, as refusing hospitality or food is considered an offense.
• Always use the right hand when giving or receiving items. It is highly respectful to accept offered food or drink and engage in small talk with hosts. Show deep respect to elders and figures of authority. Do not criticize Genghis Khan (a national hero), and avoid negatively discussing China.
