Morocco offers diverse attractions including bustling souqs, historic mosques, white-washed coastal towns, and medieval city centers. Travelers can explore varied landscapes, from the Sahara Desert dunes to the High Atlas Mountains, providing rich cultural and scenic experiences.

• Ramadan (Fasting Month): Daytime abstinence from eating, drinking, and smoking generally slows life. Non-Muslims are exempt but respectful public behavior is appreciated.
• Eid al-Fitr: Marks the end of Ramadan; services and transportation may close for approximately one week as people travel home.
• Dress conservatively and respectfully, especially at religious sites (men should wear long trousers and sleeved shirts). Use 'Salaam Alaykum' when greeting unfamiliar people. For personal greetings, men and women generally kiss on the cheeks (same gender only); otherwise, a handshake accompanied by a hand-to-heart gesture is appropriate. Use your right hand for all transactions and greetings. Show respect to elders, such as by yielding seats. Avoid discussing politics, the royal family, Western Sahara, or Algeria. Refrain from criticizing or discussing religion from an agnostic viewpoint.
