About this holiday

Eid al-Fitr is one of the two major Islamic festivals (the other being Eid al-Adha). It is typically observed on the 10th of Dhu'l-Hijja, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, with celebrations generally continuing for the three following days known as the Tashreeq days.
