- Baba Marta: Traditional UNESCO-recognized celebrations around March 1st, involving the gift of 'martinka' adornments.
- D Festival: An annual multi-day outdoor music festival held in Dojran.
- When referring to the country, it is advised to use 'Macedonia.' Be mindful of sensitive topics regarding Macedonian-Bulgarian, Macedonian-Albanian, or Macedonian-Greek relations. About this holiday
The Macedonian Struggle (1893–1912) was a period of conflict over Ottoman Macedonia involving Greek and Bulgarian residents. It was part of a larger guerrilla war (1904–1908) where Greek, Bulgarian, and Serbian revolutionary groups fought over control and the national identity of the Slavic population. The conflict continued through the Balkan Wars.
