About this holiday
Suriname is a small republic in northern South America, known for its vast rainforest cover (over 90%). It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, French Guiana, Brazil, and Guyana. The country, with a population of approximately 612,985 (2021), has its capital and largest city in Paramaribo.
