• Easter weekend (Good Friday to Easter Monday) is a major travel period, requiring advance booking for accommodations and flights.
• The climate and culture require modest dress when visiting places of worship, although general dress standards are casual.
• Australians are generally accustomed to international visitors, but asking for directions may lead locals to assume you are soliciting money.
• Sensitive topics, including Indigenous Australian history or political issues, should be approached with caution and respect.
• While most Australians are tolerant of different faiths, public proselytization or discussing religion is often met with a negative response.
• It is respectful to always ask permission before photographing Aboriginal people or sacred sites.
